WL: I played with the idea of photoshopping a Casper that changed in colour from green to brown, head to toe...but, given the shape of his posterior, I decided to keep him all green.

Cheers,

Paul

Well I've been getting the feeling that government intervention of any kind is a bad idea these days.

I mean less government services is your message is it not?

I try to give an example of my frustration with the government services and the green movement.

I'm at an age where ridng public transit fills me with some anxiety as I reflect over all the times I've recieved such poor service from it. The public system in this case being the TTC short for Take The Car.

Ah yes so many times I would should show my proudly paid for token, ticket or pass to not even recieve a glance of approval from Mr. Bus Driver Man/Woman. I mean I paid a hundred dollars for you to look at my pass and see if it's real. Not to stare out your front window not even acknowledging my excistence.

So what else is there. Well I could get a scooter as the city of toronto offers free parking with those little two wheels. But doesn't seem like a practical investment. As the money would be better spent on a vehicle that could run year round. Or even car pool some friends or hell even carry anything besides myself.

Darn well hey I just saw if I get a smart car the government will give me a 2000 dollar rebate. Well yippie do daa. Or I could go look for used beater on Autotrader or RepoDepo that looks cool and runs well. Oh yeah and it will cost 7000 less then the crap rebate car there trying to push me.

Seriously stop moulding my brain Mr. Government. I'm losing my abiltiy to think for myself and spell correctly.

hello Paul -

reached your site via Full Comment.

Good entry on left-wing spin about the "Green Shift".

Lawrence Martin, in particular, has been egregious in his biases; there is little to differentiate him from a Liberal party pamphleteer.

A year or two ago, I was so incensed by a column he wrote as to the alleged "decline in civility" in Parliament, a decline led by - guess who? - the Conservative party under Harper.

EXamples of this "incivility"? Well, Harper and other top Cons. objected to Elizabeth May of the Green Party implying that they were Hitler for not doing enough about global warming.

That is: the incivility was them objecting to her comparing them to Hitler, not the comparison in the first place.

Anyway, I fired off an email questiong LM as to what great height "civility" has federal politics fallen from; when Jean Chretien grabbed a protestor by the throat? When Trudeau told someone in the House to `f off" and then lie about?

Of course, leftists only talk about `civility' because they have no argument; just as they have no argument in favour of their tax on everyting.
