		<description>What really gets me is just how this issue has exposed the fascism of the opposition, both those in politics and the so called progressive organizations outside of it.  

Their argument is this.  Given the choice (which is all the Tories are offering) Canadians will not fill out the long survey.  So the lefts solution is essentially “if people don’t want to voluntarily provide personal and private information to the government, then force them to do it.”

Got that?  No, they didn’t say engage the public in debate, they didn’t offer to remove the parts of the long form that Canadians feel are invasive.  Nope, they went right to their go-to guy, the states monopoly on the use of coercive force… And they always do.

In every choice for which the public may differ in opinion with the established wisdom of their progressive betters. For the sake of the greater good, for more and better targeted programs, for municipal planning, linguistic issues, and social engineering the progressive answer is and has always been FORCE.</description>
