I, to be commanded, must be obeyed.

Any sufficiently rational individual is indistinguishable from a wizard.

A kindness paid to the worthy kills none, but to the unworthy kills all.

While raising the flag of freedom, be willing and prepared to see it at half-mast.

    Hi Bruce. I don’t like to decode these expressions. They’re meant both to inspire some thought, and to express the conclusions of some longish analyses very succinctly. But I’ll give you a hint: Arthur C. Clark said something that inspired the second aphorism above.
